CHALLANGE

Netgear had multiple products that constantly underwent upgrades and feature updates. Small team size and ever-expanding product goals made it difficult for them to scale as expected.

Solution

We onboarded a team of 4 designers & UX experts that got on with tasks immediately. (We were on our work desks as soon as all the legals were signed). Now, we have a dedicated team of 10+ designers working on multiple products & is completely aligned with Netgear’s design processes.

01 UX DESIGN
  • Build navigation user flows to highlight each step in the user’s journey
  • Create end-to-end user flows for new user on-boarding for multiple products
  • Tackle use case scenarios and corner cases to ensure usability;
  • Design low fidelity and high fidelity wireframes
  • Conduct competitor analysis and user research to enhance on-boarding process
02 UI DESIGN
  • Design screens for iOS, Android and Web
  • Develop Prototypes in Invision, Hype, Flinto, HTML and native iOS/Android

  • Use brand guidelines to create style guide for multiple products
  • Develop a master style guide to bring consistency in UI design across all Netgear products
  • Manage image assets & resolutions; and export over 10K assets using Zeplin to accommodate developers’ requests
  • Defining variable string elements across user flows and documenting them for ease of use for developers
  • Built a centralized repository for beta test results, testimonials, case studies, audio or video feedback for team collaboration

    Kotilin supported both iOS and Android platforms. Helped with getting Android at par with iOS as it was lagging behind. Supported all the new initiatives for the product.
